Advertising is a powerful thing. I wanted the aspect of fashion to be dominant in this image, but I guess you could throw the "girls are better than boys" argument into this

I love how these guys, despite times, trends and fashions moving so quickly; they are still there with their handlebar moustaches and flatcaps. How very English

Two elderly gentleman sat outside my local Next retailer. This is the first time I've had the honour of photographing Emanuela De Paula She's a joy to work with...stands very still.

It has taken me about a year to get this shot. Going back to the same spot over and over again, shooting the same subject (the man in the hat is there every single week, no fail), and trying to make it work. Today was the day and all my hard work and determination paid off! I'm really happy with this shot.

For the record, this hasn't had a colour split edit; the poster is black and white, physically...I haven't edited it to make it this way.
